Part Fabrication with Stereolithography Process

Abstract

Shortening product design and development time is particularly necessary for current competitive market environment. It is a challenge for developing and launching the product to fulfill the customer’s demand in time. One of various manufacturing technology which could potentially reduce the product development time is Stereolithography (SL) process. In order to provide the beneficial details regarding to the SL process for product manufacturers, the main contexts of the paper presents the procedure of manufacturing of part using SL process, influencing factor of the process to part strength and part quality, some awareness of using SL parts for engineering applications, operation safety, and examples of its applications in various fields.
