The objective of this study, “Model of Human Resource Development for an academic institution : A Case Study of King Mongkut s Institute of Technology North Bangkok”, is to build a model of human resource development for King Mongkut s Institute of Technology North Bangkok (KMITNB). The results of the study found the model of human resource development for KMITNB should concentrate process on the following items as listed : The main policy of human resource development is to promote the human resource of continuing knowledge development. The policy of human resource development for teacher is to promote efficiency in teaching research and development and academic service. The policy of human resource development for support staff is to always promote appropriate knowledge and capacity in their job. The process of seeking the need of human resource development should survey from all staff. The person, who function of seeking the need of human resource development are the administrative official and the organization who is responsible for human resource development. The objective of human resource development planning is to always develop skill and efficiency of all staff. The measures of human resource development planning are to make the job descriptions of all staff clear. The importance of human resource development planning is the policy of University. Preparing the process of human resource development planning should seek the need of human resource development for all staff. The activity of human resource development for teachers groups is training. The activity of human resource development for support staff groups are training. The activity of human resource development for individual teachers is continuing study. The activity of human resource development for individual support staff is training. The evaluation of human resource development should be a study of competency and quality on the job from their boss.
