The aim of this research was to study the private cost and benefit in both direct and indirect approaches,
private-benefit ratio and also the cost ratio between the engineering students and the KMUTNB. The primary data
was collected from the 318 graduated engineering students of 2002-2005. The results revealed that the average
of direct private cost, indirect private cost and social cost will be 281,951.09, 230,842.90, and 181,450.13 baht
per head, respectively. Also, the graduated students who worked for the enterprises have more direct private cost
than graduated participants who worked as civil servants. Moreover, the most significant indirect private benefit
was the recognition by colleagues and organization, the proportion of direct private cost between engineering
students and the KMUTNB is 6.08 : 3.92.
